DAPstudio: Onboard intelligence at your command![]() DAP Measurement Studio (DAPstudio) comes from an engineering commitment to develop products that give you each design tool you need, precisely when you need it, to create elegant and powerful data acquisition systems quickly and well. If you develop, or intend to develop, data acquisition and control systems with a real-time component or with a high channel count, then check out DAPstudio. DAPstudio, a PC application, provides user interface features without requiring any Windows programming. DAPstudio lets you develop applications quickly and easily, using the full DAPL command set. In most cases you really need no other software to develop and run any application. DAPstudio can be used in addition to DAPview for Windows, based on what you want to achieve. DAPview for Windows controls the DAP board by sending it DAPL commands that you explicitly specify. DAPstudio also controls the DAP by sending it DAPL commands. With DAPstudio, however, you implicitly specify predefined sets of commands simply by navigating a graphical interface. The actual DAPL commands can remain out of sight. The DAPstudio Manual provides a ready set of sample applications. Pick a sample application that comes close to what you want to do and use it as a springboard to get down to work right away with DAPstudio. Try out the auto-increment feature. In the DAPstudio manual, the example can be found at "App0406 Duplicate Commands With Auto-Increment Parameters." DAPstudio: Onboard intelligence at your command![]() Input/output configurations

One thing that we suggest you try out is the auto-increment feature. In the DAPstudio manual, the example can be found at "App0406 Duplicate Commands With Auto-Increment Parameters." If you have a large number of channels, this feature is particularly useful. It allows you to copy and paste commands for multiple channels without manually changing the number in each command line. For example, enter a command line in the DAPstudio Processing|Procedures|DAPL Listing edit box. Average(IP0, cCnt0_, pAvg0) You then can use a simple Ctrl-C (copy) and Ctrl-E (increment/paste/copy) keystroke sequence to add additional Average(IP1, cCnt0_, pAvg1) Average(IP2, cCnt0_, pAvg2) Average(IP3, cCnt0_, pAvg3) Average(IP4, cCnt0_, pAvg4) Use this shortcut as many times as you need to. Increment/paste/copy does not just duplicate your lines of code with new numbers, it also duplicates all required structure declarations to support that code. So, after using Ctrl-C/Ctrl-E, you can type start and run your application without any more work.
