Technical Note 186

What it is

The Analog Input Expansion Board, part number MSXB 037, provides analog input expansion for xDAP USB data acquisition systems and DAP PCI data acquisition boards.

What it provides

  • 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog inputs with onboard termination points
  • The ability to connect up to 32 Analog Input Expansion Boards to each compatible DAP, providing the DAP board with up to 512 analog inputs
(Contact us for xDAP capacity information.)
  • Built-in CJC (Cold Junction Compensation)
  • A prototype area for each input channel that allows you to install your own custom conditioning circuits. Circuits of 4 to 8 passive components are easy to add on every channel.

Connections

With xDAP: Connect your signals to MSXB 037. MSXB 037 plugs into the analog backplane included in an xDAP system.

With DAP: Connect your signals to MSXB 037. MSXB 037 plugs into analog backplanes included in industrial enclosures. Connect industrial enclosures to DAP boards with 68-line cables.
